My Father's House of Freedom My Father's House of Freedom

My Father's House of Freedom on West street offers full addiction recovery with various programs including room and board.  The basic cost is $125 per week, and each person is found a job where they actually pay the cost.  Their money is banked and each recovery patient is given a detailed summary of their money flow, teaching them how to save and take care of their finances.

More about My Father's House:

At My Father's House of Freedom our goal is to foster an atmosphere that is conducive to promoting a healthy environment that will enable participants to face their addiction, understand reasons and causes for their addiction, and create a plan of action to be healthy and responsible to self and family.  As a transitional facility our objective is to take men whom at one time were burdens to society because of their addictions and help them to develop a healthy sense of self and to become productive members of society.  The foundation of our ministry is a spiritual twelve step program.  This spiritual journey is a personal guide to understanding, to rediscovering, and deepening the spiritual part of oneself.  The program teaches how to live according to the guidance of God.  Residents discover that the basic part of their problem is the void or despair felt as the result of ignoring or rejecting their relationship with Jesus Christ.

Mission Statement:

Reaching out to men who are trapped in the bondage of addiction to drugs or suffering in the throes of alcoholism; Showing them that abstinence alone is not the solution and that the real solution comes from a relationship with Jesus Christ; Walking through all the strongholds with each man as they arise; Guiding these men to recognize and change the behaviors that keep them trapped in bondage; Providing a safe, healthy home for the men to live in while they are slowly changing their thoughts, behaviors, and beliefs; Helping them through the mental barriers that have blocked them from having a personal relationship with Jesus Christ; and equipping them to go back out into society ready and able to share and witness to the grace, mercy, and power of God through the changes He made in their lives through Jesus Christ.

The ISIAH House, houses 42 homeless veterans who are addicted to alcohol and drugs.  They are referred from the VA.  The non veteran program consists of a 28 to 45 day primary program and a secondary program that can last up to 1 year.  The cost for 28 days of primary treatment is $750 dollars and the $125 a week thereafter.  During primary treatment, clients attend group therapy 5 days a week, individual therapy weekly, Celebrate Recovery (Christ Centered 12 step program) one night a week (we have to make this optional since it is Christ Centered but the majority of the clients attend) and AA/NA meetings nightly.  When clients come to secondary we apply for Vocational Rehabilitation (VR) for each client and if they qualify VR will pay for 2 months of secondary treatment.  All of our secondary clients are required to work or volunteer.  They pay $125 a week for secondary treatment.  All treatment costs for ISIAH, Primary and Secondary includes counseling, 3 meals a day, transportation to and from work and outside meetings.
